BDS Steel Detailers attended the annual Managers Day at Wakefield, England in September. The day was well attended by more than 70 people from a broad cross section of the construction supply chain including steel detailers, fabricators, main contractors, painters, deck detailers, RC concrete detailers, software suppliers, engineers, architects and academics. The days agenda was full of innovative uses of Tekla Structures in construction and a look to the future development of the program.
As a world leader in steel detailing and BIM modeling, BDS Steel Detailers was invited to present some of our recent projects as case studies on the innovative use of Tekla Structures. Our Managing Director Don Engler showcased the Colts and the Cardinals Stadiums from the US along with the City Center project in Las Vegas. Don spoke about the clash detection feature now available between steelwork and the many other subcontractors, including the ductwork, cladding and glazing providers to name a few. The highlight for many was the innovative use of the Tekla models inside animation software that brought the BIM model to life for all to see.
The presentation continues to highlight BDS Steel Detailers as being well and truly at the cutting edge of Tekla Structures and BIM modeling.
